How does it compare?

  • Other building guarantees will often only provide cover up to a set dollar limit. This means that the difference in the dollar limit and the actual costs to repair the home will then need to be paid by the homeowner.

  • Often the cover will only apply if a CCC (Code Compliance Certificate) has been issued. Also, in some cases the cover provided by other building guarantees does not automatically apply to all homes - it will only apply if the materials used and the design of the home are deemed to be of an acceptable standard by the guarantee provider.

  • Our guarantee provides protection against non-completion, deposit loss, structural defects, workmanship issues, and certain material defects. It’s designed to give you peace of mind that your new home is built to last.

  • Your guarantee is independent of your Signature Homes builder. If your franchise is unable to complete your home, the guarantee ensures your home will be completed as per the terms & conditions of your Signature Homes Building Agreement.

  • Yes. If you sell your home within the guarantee period, the cover transfers to the new owner—adding value and peace of mind for future buyers.

  • RIL transfer cost to the purchaser is $450.00 +GST.

  • As with all guarantees, some exclusions apply. These typically include:

    Normal wear and tear

    Damage caused by lack of maintenance

    Issues beyond the builder’s control (e.g. natural disasters)

    Any work carried out outside of your Signature Homes franchise and building agreement
